To clock something is to see through it instantly. "I clocked that immediately" claims perceptiveness; "you've been clocked" tells someone they've been seen.

the origin story
Ballroom and drag culture, where being clocked meant having a detail of your presentation spotted. Long predates internet use.
The original ballroom sense was specific and could be harsh. Mainstream use has generalised it to any accurate observation, which strips out most of that weight — worth knowing before using it casually.
