Ratio
what it means
Getting ratioed is a public verdict. "Ratio" as a reply is an attempt to start one, usually as a dismissal rather than an argument.
When a reply gets far more likes than the post it replies to — proof the crowd sided against the original.
the origin story
Twitter around 2017, from observing that a bad tweet accumulates more replies than likes.
It formalised something the platform's design already made visible, and became a standard measure of a bad take. "L + ratio" chained it with other dismissals into a stacked put-down that itself became a meme.
