Mood
what it means
Posted under a relatable image or statement. "Big mood" intensifies it, and "whole mood" was the maximal version before the phrase settled down.
A one-word way of saying "that's exactly how I feel".
the origin story
Twitter and Tumblr around 2016-2017, as image-based relatability content became the dominant format.
It was one of the first widely used single-word reaction posts, alongside "same" and "me". Its usefulness is that it needs no explanation — the image carries the content and the word just signs your name to it.
