Attributed to a 1990s Ann Landers advice column line about resentment, then adapted on Twitter in the late 2010s.
It works in two directions. Said about a thing you love, it is affectionate; said about a critic — "I live rent free in his head" — it claims victory by proving you got under someone's skin.
